Created in New Zealand, our eight fitness programs are currently offered in more than 12,000 facilities in more than 70 countries, with an estimated five million participants every week.

Our Programs
Les Mills creates eight choreographed group exercise-to-music programs each delivering an hour-long workout in one of the classic exercise genres, such as weight training, mind-body, martial arts, step and dance.
Our Program Directors create a new class, with new music and choreography, every three months, drawing on the latest trends in music and the latest developments in exercise science. When the new classes are perfected, they are filmed for DVD and dispatched with choreography notes, education sessions and licensed music CDs to the 10,000 qualified Les Mills instructors working in facilities which have licensed one or more of the Les Mills programs from Les Mills Asia Pacific.
Instructor Training
All Les Mills instructors undergo a rigorous selection, training and qualification process to make sure their class participants enjoy a world class exercise experience, wherever they are.
Usually working currently as fitness instructors or personal trainers, trainees attend modules where they receive training in the key elements of the Les Mills system. On completion of module training, and subject to grading, trainees can start teaching immediately in a licensed facility and become fully qualified after submitting a video or DVD of one of their classes for assessment within three months.
Instructors receive new program kits every three months, together with ongoing education and training provided both electronically and at training workshops. Outstanding instructors with leadership skills and an aptitude for helping others to reach their potential may become trainers bringing more instructors into the Les Mills system.
Group Fitness Management
The Les Mills Group Fitness Management (GFM) system provides club owners and managers with a blueprint for achieving higher profitability through correct implementation of the Les Mills system.
The GFM system was developed as a means of capturing the business benefits of the Les Mills programs and is available to licensed clubs around the world through seminars, workshops and online resources.
The GFM system covers all aspects of group fitness studio layout and management and staffing and defines optimum promotional support for the Les Mills programs through external marketing and new class launches.

Marketing
Les Mills provides licensed clubs with a vast array of marketing materials to drive awareness and participation in the Les Mills programs. These resources are anchored in ongoing consumer research driving all product communications including trade and consumer advertising, on-line marketing resources and public relations.
High quality imagery is produced for targeted advertising campaigns promoting programs individually and also to support the quarterly re-launch of classes with new music and choreography.
Fully developed marketing materials are supplied directly to licensed fitness clubs through Les Mills’ online eClub – a secure section of the lesmills.com website.
Les Mills Asia Pacific – Our History
Les Mills Asia Pacific is the market leader in the Australian fitness market. Over 900 fitness clubs in Australia offer the Les Mills Group Fitness System to their customers while in South East Asia over 180 fitness clubs are Les Mills’ licensees with the market growing rapidly.
In the mid-1990’s, Bill Robertson learned of the Les Mills’ programs and after trialling them in his own gym recognised the huge potential they had to change the face of the fitness world. Bill Robertson established Les Mills Asia Pacific, and through this company has the exclusive rights to distribute Les Mills’ programs throughout Australia and South East Asia. Bill has been the driving force for the past 10 years marketing Les Mills Group Fitness Programs in this region.
