Justin, our Digital Specialist here at Les Mills Asia Pacific is the voice you hear on the phone helping you with any technical questions you may have especially in relation to downloading your digital kits.
We asked him if he had any advice for those new to digital:
“It seems that one of the most common mistakes being made is individuals not "unzipping" or "extracting" the music/choreography ZIP file. The best way to explain this is a ZIP file is like a briefcase with papers in it. Music files in a ZIP folder is much the same way. You can't look at the papers when they haven't been taken out of the briefcase and you can't use the music files until you take them out of the ZIP folder. So you have to extract the music from the ZIP file before you load it into a media player.
To do this you do one of the following depending:
1) If using a Mac, you just double click on the zip file (looks like a folder with a zipper on it and is most likely found in the Downloads folder). This will create a new folder where the files will be located in it. Go into the newly created folder and drag and drop the music files into iTunes.
2) If you are using a PC, right-click on the zip file (looks like a folder with a zipper on it and is most likely found in the Downloads folder). From the menu, select "Extract all...". In the new window, you should be given the option to select either the "Browse" button to select where you want to extract the files or click extract to extract them to the "Downloads" folder. Once extracted, go to where the music files are. Then drag and drop them into iTunes.
